1v1 league and site changes

I'm planning on re-doing whole website yet again, this time on my own - after all, it's better that way. I'll most likely export the current user database so you won't have to register again =)

Anyway, with that, I'm also starting to work on proper 1v1 league; the ideas are in very early form, but for the start I'm considering making it 2 division with 12 players in each. If that works out well, I'll most definately increase the sizes allowing more players to participate to make it more interesting.
Start is planned on January 2008.

What mode do you want to see most in CPM league besides 1v1?

This edition is intended for people inexperienced with CPM and also for people who are curious to try it.

  • Challenge Promode 1.43.
  • Double elimination, one map per round, maps are decided by coin-toss (callvote random 2).

Hey, noticed people started commenting stuff, I keep bugging ix to actually read what you guys moan about :D But meanwhile, just a suggestion - when you register, you can post comments without my approval (saves both me and you time).

It's quite simple process, just fill in desired username and e-mail, your password will arrive at your mailbox, log in, change password (if you want) and start trolling (not really tho)!

Expect more stuff coming soon, includingcough1v1leaguecough.

New CPMA beta version

Just a few minutes ago a new beta version of CPMA was released.

This version is NOT recommended for any server admins as it will change a lot before becoming final. However, you need it to play pickups, which is testing playground I guess.

Grab it here (7.7MB), start testing and commenting! Changelog (thanks to ix).

Just a quick note, because I had questions about it in the past, here's how I typed so fast in my tutorials ;)

// binds msg1 to k
bind k "vstr msg1"

// Defines msg1 as text and then sets msg1 to value of msg2
set msg1 "say Hey-o, this is the first message!; set msg1 vstr msg2"

// Pops msg2 on screen after pressing k again and later sets msg1 to value of msg3
set msg2 "say Pompompom here goes the second one;set msg1 vstr msg3"

// Final message. If you want more, just copy previous line and follow the pattern :)
